Orion Grab-n-Go 80mm Triplet Refractor Telescope
Orion Grab-n-Go 80mm Triplet Refractor Telescope
Take a high-resolution tour of the night sky through our new 80mm triplet ED refractor with this readily transportable Grab-n-Go package. For most of us, the best and darkest skies for visual stargazing are not right outside the back door, but are found in sometimes distant remote viewing locations away from city lights and skyglow. To make journeys to such dark-sky sites as convenient as possible we've coupled our new ED80T CF triplet refractor with the sturdy VersaGo II altazimuth mount for no-nonsense ease-of-use and exceptional portability. With the included 2" 26mm Q70 eyepiece and EZ Finder II reflex sight, you have a complete setup ready for extensive deep-sky viewing action. Amazingly, the entire set weighs a paltry 20 lbs. for easy transport to your favorite dark skies. The Grab-n-Go 80mm Triplet is also a great setup for a quick trip into the backyard when you want to observe, but would rather not drag out a heavier telescope. The lightweight ED80T CF features an 80mm triplet objective utilizing FPL-53 extra-low dispersion (or "ED") glass for optimal visual performance virtually free of chromatic aberration. Views through the 80mm triplet will be true-color and exhibit superior resolution and sharpness.

Orion Sirius 8 EQ-G Reflector Telescope with GoTo Controller
Orion Sirius 8 EQ-G Reflector Telescope with GoTo Controller
To capture dramatic celestial portraits with a film or digital SLR or an astronomical CCD camera, you'll need a solid mount with excellent tracking and guiding capability and, ideally, a telescope with a large aperture and a focal ratio of f/6 or less. The Sirius 8 EQ-G reflector fills the bill nicely. With the computerized Go-To system, pushing a button or two is all it takes to swing the optical system automatically. Orion 8" f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope
Orion 8
Our 8"aperture deep-sky imaging specialist boasts features usually reserved for much pricier astrophotography telescopes. In fact, the Orion 8" f/3.9 Newtonian Astrographs powerful imaging performance easily exceeds whats achievable with many premium apo refractors costing thousands of dollars more. Its 8" parabolic primary mirror has 800mm of focal length, making the fast f/3.9 Newtonian an ideal wide-field astrophotography telescope. A substantial 70mm minor axis secondary mirror provides full field illumination to CCD and/or DSLR cameras for efficient astrophotography performance. This provides less than 10% light drop-off around the corners of very large APS-C sized sensors. Both primary and secondary mirrors boast enhanced reflectivity (94%) aluminum coatings with a protective silicon dioxide (quartz) overcoat. Three easy-grip, push-pull collimation hand knobs on the primary cell make collimation adjustments easy. Once aligned, three locking thumbscrews secure the 8" parabolic mirror. Images acquired with the 8" f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph will exhibit maximum contrast thanks to sophisticated telescope features any astrophotographer will appreciate. Nine precisely positioned baffle rings along the inside of the reflector optical tube minimize internal reflections of pesky off-axis light for pristine imaging performance. To further optimize contrast and avoid off-axis light intrusion near the front of the telescope, the dual-speed 2" Crayford focuser has been installed a full 6.3" back from the front of the 30" long reflector optical tube.
