DESC: The Sony J-H1 is a compact video player for HDTV HDCAM video tapes. Though there are no record function here, the proliferation of digital HDCAM video acquisition makes this playback deck an economical choice for producers and editors. The deck can play back just about any HDCAM interlaced and progressive scan format including 60i, 50i, 25p, and 30p. The only HDTV format it cannot play back is the 720p/24 frame per second CineAlta digital cinema system. Another deck in this series, the J-H3 covers all those progressive and interlaced capture formats including the 24-frame format.
