DESC: One of the more fully featured portable models on the market, this one offers an electronic microprocessor with sleek, touchpad-type controls and a delay timer. It also has a deluxe six-level wash system that does a better job of eliminating all the soil on the dishes than some of Maytag's less expensive portable models. Other than these two step-up options, the MDC5100A offers the typical features one expects to find on a dishwasher: a filter, a hard food disposer, and a silverware basket. The racks are vinyl coated, and the lower one has high sides with a fold-away shelf. This model is also equipped with a common system that heats incoming water to the optimal temperature for washing dishes. The top of this model offers a Formica® brand butcher block top, which doubles as additional counter space, regardless of whether or not the dishwasher has been rolled over to the sink hook-up.
