DESC: The vintage films collected here depict actual atomic explosions created during nuclear tests in the 1940s and '50s. "Operation Crossroads (Part I)" captures the "Able Day" and "Baker Day" tests that took place in the Pacific's Bikini Island in 1946. Ground and aerial views combine to provide viewers with an astonishing record of actual explosions. In the second part of the same film, live animals are shown roaming about a boat just minutes before being blown to bits by the dropping of various atomic weapons. Additional films include "Management of Mass Casualties," "Stay Safe, Say Strong: The Facts About Nuclear Weapons," and "Operation Cue."
