Unlike the previous two Turok games for Game Boy Color, Rage Wars breaks away from typical side-scrolling gameplay. Thanks to simulated 3D motion, Turok is able to move more freely within the invironments. This helps to make the enemies more difficult to defeat, and gives the game a fresh look.
