DESC: The PortServer family is a solution for console management of servers, routers, hubs, as well as serial ports on the LAN for POS/Retail, Data Collection, Process control, remote access, terminals, printers and modems. The serial ports are accessible through telnet, reverse telnet, socket services, rlogin, alternate IP Addresses and also through a COM or TTY by installing the optional RealPort driver. ??The Digi PortServer family of terminal servers is a complete product line providing network connectivity over TCP/IP for any serial device. The family includes the popular PortServer and PortServer II terminal servers. The PortServer is an entry-level terminal server that allows you to connect clusters of eight to 16 high-speed serial ports to any TCP/IP Ethernet network. It supports asynchronous terminals, modems, printers and other serial devices and is hardware independent, allowing users to access any type of networked server supporting TCP/IP.
