DESC: The CM-1400 is the largest of Celestrons Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, and is most impressive in performance. The large 14" aperture offers 206% more light gathering ability than an 8" telescope does and 96% more than a 10" telescope. Lunar and planetary details are extraordinary when viewed through this instrument. The large aperture and superb optics of the CM-1400 make for very exciting deep-sky observing of diffuse and planetary nebulae, open and globular star clusters, galaxies and binary stars.
